A look back at the first Local Solutions Market!

Un stands au Marché des solutions locales

On Sunday, April 21st, we organized the first Local Solutions Market at Caper Piwitschen in Capellen.

As part of the ideation phase of Boost Lokal Lëtzebuerg, the objective of the event was to bring together collective projects led by citizens with social, environmental, and economic impact to showcase what is possible and inspire new projects to emerge before our Co-creation Evening on June 6th.

The day began with the first Fresco of new narratives in Luxembourg, facilitated by Soili Mathieu from Sensbox.

We then brought together local projects and the regional community around a wonderful local and seasonal lunch. Prepared by Mesa with ingredients from AMAP Krautgaart and dried flowers from Botanika, we also enjoyed iced tea from Ortea and appreciated tulip bouquets from A Lill Haff in Keispelt. During lunch, many links were forged and projects were presented to the group in turn.

From 2pm to 6pm, it was market time, where visitors had the opportunity to discover stands and purchase local products from businesses and projects from across Luxembourg.

Throughout the afternoon, our youngest visitors had the chance to take part in the fresco of the future city and a recycling workshop with Transition Nord. Visitors also engaged in Boost Lokal ideation workshops to share their ideas.

Thank you to all the projects that participated, to our wonderful team of volunteers who made the day possible, to the municipality of Mamer, and to Caper Piwitschen!
