Circle of Partners: An afternoon of connection between social impact projects and financial partners

Financing and facilitating local transition: this was the key focus of the Circle of Partners held on 28 January at the House of Startups. Organised as part of Boost Lokal Lëtzebuerg, the event brought together around forty participants from the Luxembourg impact ecosystem. This meeting provided the opportunity for local impact projects to connect with committed financial partners ready to support them.

Why? To create a solid bridge between impact-driven citizen project leaders and financial partners supporting the ecological and social transition, in order to strengthen their synergies and thus create concrete opportunities for the financing of responsible local initiatives.

How? Inspiring pitches and speed-dating sessions were organised to facilitate dialogue between the entrepreneurs and financial partners. These interactive formats allowed project leaders to present their initiatives in a concise and impactful way and ask their questions, while offering funders the opportunity to better understand the specific issues and needs of local projects. This encouraged direct and productive exchanges, paving the way for potential collaborations.

Twelve inspiring projects were presented, representing a variety of causes, ranging from the fight against food waste to the creation of community cafés as a meeting place. These projects, led by non-profit associations, social impact companies (SIS) or citizen groups, reflected the richness of ideas within our local communities.

The event also highlighted the commitment of public and private financial players such as LEADER, Duerfentwécklung, l’Œuvre Nationale, Interreg Grande Région, Microlux, etika, eticrowd, ORASI Advisory, and Innpact, who presented their financing and support solutions for impact projects.

The afternoon offered a boost for local citizen projects, while highlighting their diversity and enabling new connections between different local actors to foster new opportunities.
