On Thursday, November 21st, Boost Lokal Lëtzebuerg held an event for partners at the citizen-led third space Ôpen in Junglinster to mark its launch in the east of the country, the second region for the project. 15 participants representing organisations and businesses in the region had the chance to learn more about the project as well as take part in an ideation workshop to contribute their ideas while discovering its participative methodology. In this workshop the partners co-created visions for enabling citizen engagement as well as raising awareness around the project and added value of Boost Lokal in the eastern region. These visions are extremely valuable input that will be taken into consideration when planning the following actions within this region.
The timeline for the eastern region is as follows:
From January – March 2025, Boost Lokal Lëtzebuerg will organise a series of ideation events across 18 communes in the east, specifically Niederanven, Sandweiler, Contern, Schuttrange, Junglinster, Echternach and the communes of the Mullerthal region where residents can share their ideas on local challenges and opportunities. These events will be shared on our event page as well as our newsletter.
Citizens from across the region will then be invited to take part in a co-creation event, organised in late March and early April 2025 in both Junglinster and Echternach, to design impactful projects that solve these local challenges. Projects will then be supported through coaching and training from May to December to ensure that they have support from within the existing ecosystem, be it through expert coaches or financial partners, to implement their solutions.
